Description
Fitted to many Volvo Buses and Coaches in the mid-late 1990, these units are prone to various failures. Most common is that the engine will intermittently cut-out when warm, or operate in “low power” mode. These units are fairly susceptible to damage when there’s a fault with the engine earth connection, which can cause non-start or spurious sensor readings.
When tested, fault code 19 (internal fault) is often indicative that the EDC requires repair.
